WELCOME TO THE HEARTLAND REGIONAL CHAPTER OF SOHN!!! 

Welcome to the home page for our chapter.  We are celebrating our thirteenth year as a regional chapter of the National SOHN (Society of Head and Neck Nurses ) Organization.  The national society has a history rich in education and communication of  and for nurses specializing in the care of the Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck patients.  Our chapter's philosophy reflects that of the National organization, and  embodies the fact that education is an ongoing process; and we endeavor to provide a means to increase our knowledge through continuing education accreditation, certification testing, and communication amongst our members and fellow colleagues.

Our goals are to provide CEU accreditation, to promote SOHN as an instrument of education, to encourage research to define and affirm our teaching, to develop standards of specific nursing practices for the better care of our patients, and to provide communication amongst all nurses to the better care of all patients.

Our membership is open to all registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses who actively work in some aspect with Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck patients.  (One must be a  national  society member to be a chapter member.  For further information regarding membership, please visit the national web site at:  www.sohnnurse.com)
